I worked in the public education system for 6 years, but I needed a change. I began working for Goodwill Industries of East Texas training individuals with disabilities in the hopes of finding competitive employment. After that program ended, I became a Day Habilitation Coordinator for a company that provides community based housing for individuals with disabilities. While at our day program our individuals learn life skills that help with acclamation into the community. Now, I’m a proud member of the TRIO family at Kilgore College with the Educational Opportunity Center.
