Benefits:-Assists with the designing, evaluation and modifying of benefit policies to ensure that programs are current, competitive and in compliance with legal requirements-Administers benefit programs including health, dental, vision, life and AD&D-Serve as liaison between employees and insurance carriers-Responds to benefit inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefit enrollments, status changes and other general inquires-Coordinates open enrollment period by preparing materials and conducting enrollment meetings-Manages employee leave of absences, including FMLA, Disability and workers’ compensation401(k):-Assists with the administration of the 401(k) program-Coordinates with independent accounting firm on successful completion of 401(k) audit, form 5500 filing and annual report distribution-Calculates and processes annual profit sharing and true-upsManages annual compensation review; calculates fiscal year-end compensation (bonuses, salary increases, LTI)Conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separationsDevelop, revise and implement HR policies and proceduresProvide advice, assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures and documentationCoordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiriesProvide advice and counsel to management regarding employee and department issues and problems, company policies, procedures and documentation; assists managers when employee terminations are necessaryMaintains communication with departments on human resources related issuesManage DOT random drug/alcohol testing processHandle employee relations issues as necessary – advises management in appropriate resolutionManage EEO-1 reportingComplete and file unemployment claimsAssist management with FMLA, STD and LTD paperwork and tracking and communicate with payrollAct as back up for payroll processingMaintain strict confidentiality of all employee and/or company information
