STRATEC AG is a supplier of laboratory instruments. STRATEC Biomedical (UK) Ltd is the UK data management portion of the company; developing their own applications which they market to laboratories and pharmaceutical companies worldwide.Key Responsibilities:o Project Manage the delivery of a product to replace the current legacy applicationo Project Manage the delivery of customer products to support the business needs of the customero Ensure product documentation meets the internal quality requirements and the external regulatory requirementso Communicate project information to the team, Senior Management Team and customero Managing development and test teams on-shore, off-shore, permanent and contract for around 20 personnel.Achievements:o Legacy replacement producto Prior to my assignment the project had not delivered anything for 2 years.o A different approach was taken to the development process, which resulted in a number of modules being completed within the first year.o Development continued, the team saw the project expanding and are increased in their motivation.o The product was demo’ed to multiple customers during 2015, including being taken to conference on October 2015.o The product was submitted for FDA approval in June 2016.o The product is being used as the platform for a new customer product.o Understanding the business requirements for such a diverse and regulated industryo The vast majority of my previous experience is within transport, I have no previous knowledge or experience of blood establishments.o The management team appeared pleasantly surprised that I understood and took on board the concepts they were explaining to me. I would test my understanding by describing how I understood the information.

TNT is a global logistics and transport company. It is one of the world’s largest parcel delivery companies, delivering in excess of 1 million parcels worldwide every day. The IT department for TNT is a non-profit making department working solely to deliver the business requirements for the countries and business units within TNT.Key Responsibilities:o Project Managemento Delivering internal products to other, internal, development teamso Delivering products to internal customers, customised to meet the country specific requirementso Delivering mobile products to internal customers for use in the warehouse and delivery vehicleso Delivering technical procedures to improve the release process to distributed platformso Staff Managemento Supplier ManagementAchievements:o Process Implementationo Prior to the implementation of the Release Process there were approximately 140 distinct software stacks across 200 Unix boxes. Change implementation was difficult due to dependencies on previous versions of the software being available before the next could be implemented.o The process was defined, and was updated to implement changes once every 2 months, rather than multiple times per day.o The process was communicated to all involved.o Once the process was implemented the number of software stacks reduced to 4.o Customer Database (CDB) Country Implementationso I was Project Manager for a number of country implementations for CDB.o I worked with all of the stakeholders to ensure a successful implementation, including:▪ Business Analysts, to ensure understanding of the requirements and propose solutions to the customer▪ Senior Management, to ensure the correct number and type of team members were identified▪ Development and test team members, to ensure the correct product was built and ensure that it was a quality product▪ Customer, to assist them with their user acceptance testing▪ Implementation team, to support the implementation

Software Design Associates is a software house providing outsource solutions. The customer that I was assigned to is a telecommunications customer.

Tamworth Borough Council developed their own applications. This included an application for the calculation and management of the Community Charge tax. This application was so successful that East Staffordshire County Council wanted to co-write and co-own the application to calculate and manage the Council Tax.
