Part of this role is to manage contractual agreements with suppliers and freight services ensuring key performance indicators are realistic.The role is specifically accountable for:• Manage stock holdings at the Downer Blasting Services storage sites to ensure all stocks are accounted for through the use of best practice stock management, precise record keeping and stock taking to ensure that end of month figures balance and audit results are discrepancy free.• Direct the purchasing, receipting, storage and issue of stock/non-stock items and services, including raw materials, explosives and accessories, consumables, maintain spares and capital items for all allocated sites.• Control the discharge of break bulk shipments of raw materials at ports, and their transfers to, and storage at approved facilities. • Manage logistics to transport all goods from suppliers, storage sites, magazines and other areas to operational sites.• Support operations personnel where required to ensure supply procedures are followed.• Maintain licence and induction records of Stevedoring and transport company personnel, ensuring compliance on their part.
