Mandy Goehr is a director of Studio Nine Architects. Leading a team of 50 interior designers, architects and technicians. Studio Nine has expertise in a broad variety of sectors including hospitality, commercial workspace, education, medium-density and industrial projects. As a director, Mandy ensures that Studio Nine projects continue to exceed client expectations and deliver cutting-edge, innovative design.Born and raised in Adelaide by architect, Robert Hall, Mandy studied Art and Interior Design at the University of South Australia (formerly the Institute of Technology). Bob was unable to dissuade Mandy from beginning a career in interior design and Mandy spent many of her early years working for large architectural practices like Woodhead’s and Matthews Architects. Since then, Mandy has lived and worked in Tasmania, London, Canada, Melbourne and Sydney before returning to Adelaide with her family in 2004. In Sydney, Mandy had set up the first interior design department at renowned architectural firm, Altis Architecture. Having collected a wealth of experience in hospitality, retail and residential design, Mandy moved back to Adelaide to establish Altis’ Adelaide office. She later founded her own interior design firm, Abeo Design, in 2008. Having built a team of hand-picked interior designers and architects, Abeo Design began discussions with a like-minded architectural practice and have now merged as Studio Nine Architects. With a developed understanding for spatial planning, Mandy heads the design direction and project delivery for many major commercial and private projects. With a contagiously positive energy, Mandy has a keen eye for detail and problems-solving mind, making her a vivacious and engaging designer.
