As the sole Marketing and Communications Assistant, I was directly in charge of all promotional, social media, and communicational channels. I ideated, created, and distributed all digital assets, and ensured that the content kept in line with the center's mission and voice. One example of how my work embodies the entire production process is my data report that is presented to internal and external departments each quarter. I analyzed and condensed a multitude of data into a 19 page report. Sifting through the most important information, I created a layout that clearly depicted digestible infographics and text. Another project I spearheaded was a weekly digital newsletter (~2k subscribers) with our partner The Triton Food Pantry. With my experience in newspaper design and layout and education on effective communication practices, I produced engaging content that satisfied the needs and missions of multiple visions. In addition, I was responsible for weekly website updates and maintenance, like creating a new staff page to introduce our crew to website visitors. Other duties included tracking, managing, and restocking merchandise inventory.

As one of the Marketing Interns at Marquis, I and my fellow interns were responsible for a a few things, including creating and promoting content on social media, reaching out to social media influencers, and providing assistance in streamlining the Marquis Apparel initiative. Individually, I assisted in ideating, creating, and copyediting blog content in the form of text and graphics. I, and a fellow intern, started the company Pinterest account anew and planned and created content to be posted to build up their brand awareness and presence. I have a demonstrated aesthetic sensibility as quite a bit of my time was spent designing content. Whether it be infographics, Instagram stories, t-shirt designs for their new apparel line, or a menu for their line of mixed drinks, my ideas and final product showcase my eye for design and understanding of design communication within the brand. We also frequently held photoshoots, and I assisted in directing and constructing the mise-en-scene and creative vision.

My role as Marketing & Communications Intern is defined in broad strokes, and as such have had the opportunity to delve into various projects. My day-to-day tasks include creating and updating content to be posted onto our various social media platforms to inform followers of our recent and future activities, creating informational marketing materials that advertise the resources we offer and events we hold in a concise and appealing style, and creating various internal documents of compiled research and event results that are easy to digest. I became trained in CMS Sandbox so I could update our website as well. In addition, I help manage the physical space of the center by supporting my coworkers in organizing, restocking, and conversing with students to determine the appropriate resource needed. I recently spearheaded a marketing project that sought to positively impact the student body by compiling and distributing materials to be included in a subscription-box-like collection of smart snacks. These boxes were placed strategically at various student resource centers across campus and were free for anyone to use. We received positive impressions and feedback, and seek to improve and re-implement these "Nutrition Boost Boxes" in the future.

As a member of Adwave, I, along with 30 other students, were responsible for crafting a $25 million marketing campaign for Wienerschnitzel for the National Student Advertising Competition. As a member of the Media Team, I was responsible for calculating costs and conducting research across various media platforms to tailor the best media campaign that would produce the most suitable results befitting our client requests and target demographic. I also assisted in writing succinct paragraphs to be included in our casebook detailing the choices we made in deciding media platforms and content. An aspect of this experience I particularly enjoyed was collaborating with the other teams (Creative, Strategy, Production, and Experiential) to share ideas and suggestions, and informing them of our progress in order to create a well-rounded and thorough campaign.
