I am a passionate and skilled leader in the not-for-profit sector with over 20 years of work experience in accounting, auditing, financial planning, and management. I have a CPA, a Bachelor's degree in Financial Management, and a Master’s in Accounting from the University of New Mexico. As the Director of Finance and Administration at Akin, I oversee the financial planning, treasury, accounting, budgetary, administration, and risk management functions of the organization and its foundation. I am committed to advancing Akin's mission of developing healthy children, creating strong families, building engaged communities, and speaking and advocating for children.In my current role, I direct the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and systems that ensure compliance, accuracy, and transparency.
