Within the council we do not have a Head of IT role. It has been split across Infrastructure and Business Services with a senior manager responsible for each. My colleague and I have recently developed and launched a Digital Strategy for Flintshire which has seen a move away from a traditional IT Strategy and focuses more on how we can embed digital across the council as we transform services we deliver to our citizens, businesses and partners. I am responsible for Business Services which covers the following functions;The development, delivery and support for business systems. We have a small development team responsible for the development, delivery and support of business systems. Our focus has been to develop our own CRM and to integrating services with this as well as rationalisation of existing business systems. Digital Solutions development where our focus is on our website development, mobile working and the development of transactional services to support our Digital Customer and Digital Workforce. Our website integrates with our CRM and we have a number of fully transactional services which we are keen to grow. Information Governance where we have responsibility for Information management and compliance. We have recently developed a new Information Management Strategy which promotes Information as a key corporate resource. We have been preparing for GDPR with a major project running since January 2017. Freedom of Information, Records management and Information Security also sit within this function and as we see digital information growing exponentially within the council, improved management and use of it presents both an exciting opportunity and challenge for us.- Business Relationship Management which is have our main customer facing service with a team of Business partners and the IT Service Desk. The team is key to working with our customers in order to make the connection between technology and business improvement.

Member of the IT Management Team where we are responsible for developing and delivering the IT Strategy and associated service delivery plans. Manage a team responsible for Digital solutions design, development and support, Business Systems design, development and support, IT Business Partnering and IT Information Management.
