I am currently working full time with the NHS as a Senior Medical Secretary, but I am also self-employed and provide a medical audio transcription service.I qualified as a medical secretary in 1992 and since that time have accrued experience in a number of departments and at differing levels. I currently work full time within the NHS, but am also self-employed offering medical transcription services.I have experience in working in medical records departments (clerical and supervisory), audio transcription, medical transcription, copy typing, answering phones, email, PAS, Patient Centre, Medisec, Advantis, MS Teams, MS Excel, MS Word, RTT pathways, arranging appointments, ordering stationery, supervising staff, attending meetings and taking minutes, arranging meetings, booking rooms, booking refreshments, I also have experience in transcribing meetings verbatim from audio recordings. I have experience working in CAMHS, adult psychology, Dermatology, ENT, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Medicine for Older People, Paediatrics, Fire & Safety within the Hospital, General Medicine and Cardiology.I am able to work effectively as part of a team as well as using my own initiative to manage my own day to day workload and prioritise urgent tasks.
