As the Head of Professional Services of this innovative personal injury rehabilitation company, my role was leading the clinical governance programme within the organisation. I developed and implemented the clinical audit programme, professional development and clinical supervision programme for the multi-disciplinary team. I led our successful international CARF accreditation programme for medical case management and was an executive member of the Clinical Advisory Board. I provided clinical governance consultancy services to external companies.

I pioneered the occupational therapy service provision in London as part of the ground-breaking and innovative occupational therapy programme within the established Royal Mail occupational health service. I was responsible for the development and delivery of a new service to reduce sickness absence, return workers to substantive roles after many years of modified duties and improve work practices of employees. I assessed and compiled a suite of job demands analyses for the large and varied business and introduced functional capacity evaluations, job demands analyses to the OH service. As Royal Mail's Employee Health Service was sold to various private organisations including eventually Atos Healthcare, my role as Principal Occupational Therapist had a wider remit for providing OT services to a wider industry base including government departments as well as strategic service development and clinical governance.
