Senior administrative manager for the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research (FGSR) and key member of the Faculty’s leadership team. Responsible for the successful day-to-day and long-term strategic administrative operations of the Faculty, including staffing, planning, and overseeing administrative practices related to recruitment, applications, admissions, and records for graduate students. The Faculty Administrator partners with the Dean to achieve this success by leading, directing and managing the administrative protocols and processes associated with academic support. The incumbent exercises judgement as they perform and supervise administrative operational functions with responsibilities that include budgeting and forecasting and special project funds, processes and procedures implementation, managing office space, fixed assets, property and supplies and human resources support for the Faculty. The position directly supervises staff and provides guidance and direction to others. It participates in the development, implementation and review of strategic plans, policies and procedures to guide and oversee the efficient, effective operations of the Faculty and its academic programs and services, and plans, implements and manages an extensive array of administrative records and student services. This is a problem-solving role, with the requirement to exercise judgement and provide leadership. It supports academic strategies by providing administrative leadership and support to the Faculty in strategic administrative planning, management of services, optimal resource allocation, statistical data analysis, and project management.
