Major changes in the delivery model and the launch of a 'legitimate' curriculum that was responsive to local demand and need, supported the college to a successful merger in 2018 with Stockton Riverside College.Key responsibilities:• Leading Redcar and Cleveland College to a successful merger with Stockton Riverside College to secure the future of the College for learners, staff and the wider local community.• Key member of the Colleges Senior Leadership Team at Redcar and Cleveland College to develop and embed the College’s new vision, mission, values and strategic priorities pre & post-merger.• Strategic leadership responsibility for the 16-19 curriculum, 19+, Apprenticeship offer High Needs Provision and Learner Services directorate, providing SLT and the Board with reports on performance towards the College’s KPIs to secure confidence and sustainability for the College• Design and development of curriculum change to ensure relevance to changing needs locally, regionally and nationally, leading and managing curriculum development including newly devised teaching observation programme, discreet offer for greater multi-skills access and tutorial framework• The successful Ofsted Monitoring Visit of Stockton Riverside College Group in April 2018 following merger in 2018, which highlighted 5 out of 6 significant progress measures made since Redcar and Cleveland College were inspected in 2017.
