Lead full-cycle contract functions to procure North American defense materials and services for Australian Defence Force. Employ knowledge of customer needs to execute contracts for engineering/design services, field service support, aerospace/weapons systems, and warranty repairs. Developed stakeholder management plan to optimize relationships between North American vendors, government agencies, and Australian organizations. Leverage knowledge of in-depth Australian regulations and policies to define contracting methods, assess risks, and develop requests for proposals. Relied upon to review/approve acquisition documents, ensure compliance, and provide guidance to Defence Science & Technology Group. Own responsibility for gathering and analyzing departmental statistics on number and value of contracts. Employ experience with SAP procurement software to track and deliver data to senior Australian diplomats. Implement process improvements to increase team performance. Serve as Director-level representative for branch’s IT matters. Lead team of nine contract specialists, including scheduling workflows, prioritizing assignments, and assessing performance.
