As a public relations consultant, I help small- and medium-sized enterprises tell their story and enhance their brand awareness. This includes content creation, developing strategies and partnerships, and handling journalist requests. My writing appears in the Monocle guide to Marrakech, Lonely Planet, Brownbook, Sunday Times Travel Magazine, Fodor’s, and more. I write about travel, lifestyle, and arts, with a particular focus on Morocco, where I have lived since 2011, and Huron County, Canada. I'm the founder of Tasting Marrakech, food and cultural tours in Marrakech and we will be adding Essaouira x Tasting Marrakech rural food experience to their tour options. The team takes a dinner/wander with friends approach to their daytime and evening tours. In 2010, when I made the decision to move to Morocco for a five-month stint to learn French, I started a blog called Why Morocco. In 2018, I turned my blog in to Morocco’s first travel podcast – Why Morocco, conversations with the inspiring and creative personalities met while living in Morocco. Past guests include: artist Christo, photographer Hassan Hajjaj, 1:54 Contemporary Africa Art Fair founder Touria el Glaoui, and author Richard Hamilton. The podcast aims to leave listeners inspired to plan a trip to the kingdom of Morocco, and anecdotal feedback from listeners and sponsors confirms that I've been successful! Prior to moving to Morocco, I worked at Carleton University initially as a communications officer to the Dean of Science and then the Associate Vice-President (Student Support Services). I oversaw communications to over 24,000 undergraduate students, led promotional video projects, revamped many websites, contributed to national advertising campaigns, and launched award-winning campaigns.
