Mandy Sitko is a Emotional Support Teacher at Bethlehem School. She possess expertise in mental health, social services, adolescents, mental health counseling, family therapy and 10 more skills. I worked with Mandy to develop group lessons for students that were designed to enhance their ability to communicate through sign language as most of her students had difficulty expressing themselves verbally. She was responsible for teaching students who had a variety of cognitive and physical challenges. We designed instructional activities to enhance learning and promote interaction among the students. We were particularly focused on creating access for a student who was profoundly deaf as well. We were able to provide equal access for this student through sign language and preteaching prior to instruction.
