An experienced educational leader with a demonstrated history of success within curriculum development for secondary English Language Arts within a highly diverse public school district. A background in instructional coaching serves as the foundation of her leadership skills as she works collaboratively with and through people to achieve the initiatives of a large school district. She has taught at both the middle and high school level and has served students of varied abilities and backgrounds. Her areas of expertise include supporting literacy at all levels, proper implementation of reading intervention and foundational reading skills for striving readers, curriculum development for core ELA instruction including assessment and effective instructional strategies, and professional development for the district and instructional leadership. She directly supervises a team of 7 administrators that serve the 9th largest public school system of over 200,000 students. Mandy graduated in 2017 from the American College of Education with a Masters in Education in Educational Leadership. She also has a coaching certification from the University of Florida's Lastinger Center and an endorsement in Reading.
