About Mandy Dyer
Whilst working at the BBC, I came across a business opportunity that I thought was too good to be true, but took a leap of faith and joined. 15 years later, it has been a life saver in these challenging financial times. Simply by helping my friends, family, neighbours, work colleagues save money on their household bills by recommending them to major award winning UTILITY WAREHOUSE (UW), I have an ongoing residual income, and the ability to work remotely to help others save, or make money without any financial risk. So many adventures and friendships made along the way too!And if I can make a success of this - just about anyone with a pulse can! If you would like to learn more about this opportunity, then please do get in touch. I have a team of many hundreds of people who are all doing the same. Free training, free websites and ongoing help and support from myself and the Company. I’m also a major award-winning independent film producer and director. My awards include a BAFTA and EMMY nomination + RTS Award for Best Documentary of the Year. I have recently written my first book "Tales of a Woz Kid" about life behind the camera As well as working for the main broadcasters, I make films for corporate clients, charities and schools. My aim is to make a significant and positive difference to the stories I follow, and the people I meet. Over recent years I have focused more on corporate films and events. I have made numerous films for a major PLC to help the company promote their services more effectively: working with well-known celebrities such as "French and Saunders" as well as the team at Head Office and work force.

Film Producer/Director Of Corporate Training Films And Documentaries
I established Mandy Temple Films to make training, and marketing films dealing with the challenges people face at work and to continue to make serious documentaries for corporate clients and major TV networks. We help companies to improve staff performance. We make corporate films that tell a relevant story and which teach modern sales techniques to the audience or which promote the company’s image in a positive way to its market. We also make documentaries about a range of other issues. This includes filming funding appeals, which sometimes need to be completed to a tight deadline and with a small team. In all my films I aim to tell a story. To do that sensitively I work hard to negotiate access to the right places. I research projects thoroughly to ensure that I script interviews correctly. I ensure that I frame, and ask, the right questions of people involved in the filming. I focus on gaining the agreement of people with first-hand knowledge and experience of the issue I am covering to be interviewed and filmed. To make realistic, truthful and interesting documentaries sometimes means that I adopt unusual approaches. Sometimes I challenge conventional thinking and established ways of working. Getting to the heart of the matter and making sure I present people’s experiences in an honest way is my aim. I persevere to ensure I am able to do this in an ethical and sensitive way. Our clients include major blue chip companies, start-ups and charities. The majority of our projects result from recommendations by satisfied clients.
Co-Owner + Independent Film Producer And Director
When I set up Magic Carpet Films I began to spend more time making corporate training films and other short films for promotional, recruitment, advertising and PR purposes. However, whilst with this company I continued to make films for TV networks and to win major awards. For example, I won the Prix Europa, RTS and Worldfest Houston (Gold) for the documentary: Igor, Between Two Worlds (2008-2009)I made films for a number of major organisations including PLCs, charities and government agencies. Our commissions included making a series of corporate training films for a major PLC featuring French and Saunders. We made films for The Potato Council. We filmed charity appeals for example, “Daisy’s Dream”. We worked with celebrity chef Nick Nairn and with Weight Watchers and cake maker Lindy Smith. As a film production company we set out to help our clients achieve their objectives and on all our projects adopted a flexible approach to fulfilling our commissions. Since we were handling all aspects of the filming process, we were then, just as we are today, passionate about helping our clients to get their messages across to their chosen audience.
Freelance Film Producer/Director + Award Winning Documentary Maker
During more than a decade of freelance film-making I worked on programmes for several of the major TV networks in the UK. I made documentaries and contributed to long-running series. Programmes I worked on included a series of holiday programmes for GMTV. I made cookery programmes for Granada TV. I worked on Crimewatch for the BBC. I made documentaries about the issues surrounding the adoption of children. I also won my BAFTA award for Igor, Child of Chernobyl, when I was working as a freelance film producer and director. I went on to make three more documentaries about the aftermath of Chernobyl. The films dealt with Igor’s new life in England. They also looked at the problems faced by those who stayed behind in the Minsk region of the former USSR after the Chernobyl disaster. I was also nominated for a BAFTA for the documentary: New Kid In Class (2003-2004)In these production and directing roles I developed by abilities to work to tight deadlines. I extended my abilities to create teams that would work well together, to lead teams and to be a supportive team member. The experience of working for several major TV companies meant that I demonstrated my ability to get things done in very different working environments.
Producer/Director Making Documentaries, Features And Children’S Programmes
At the BBC I had an excellent introduction to film-making and received world class training. I worked in a number of roles, from production assistant and researcher to programme producer and director.Programmes I worked on included: Forty Minutes, Crimewatch, Watchdog and Schofield’s Europe. I worked on the ground breaking documentary “Auschwitz and The Allies” with Professor Martin Gilbert and Rex Bloomstein, documentaries about children, holidays, crime and a range of other subjects. At the BBC I learned the basics of the art of film-making and developed my ability to make documentaries. .
