About Mandy Hathaway

I am a teacher, writer, and data analyst. I have been coding for more than 25 years and have a lifelong love of technology. In college I also discovered a love for asking big questions. Now, I'm making a career of finding new ways to engage with both of these passions. I previously taught technology classes for the Science Museum of Minnesota. Additionally, I spent time in Americorp, bringing tech education to underprivileged communities. Currently, I am an instructor team lead. I mentor and train instructors, assist in curriculum development, and teach remote coding classes to students between 5 and 17 years old. I teach a variety of subjects including Scratch and Python Coding, Data Analysis, AI and Machine Learning, Roblox Moding, App Development, and Web Design.I specialize in the ethics of technology, particularly artificial intelligence. I am highly skilled at explaining complex ideas in ways that are comprehensible to non-experts.I teach and work in a variety of languages. I can also quickly learn new languages and programs. I have experience with and a strong understanding of a variety of AI and data analysis systems and tools.
