My entire career has centered on acoustics, sound isolation, speech privacy and noise control. As an acoustical consultant and project manager in the AE&C industry, I enthusiastically work closely with clients to jointly produce practical solutions that meet their project requirements and timing. Their success is my success.Good acoustics is important in the school, classroom, university, hospital, healthcare, office, worship and church, music and auditorium, hospitality, mixed-use and community environments. Lectures need to be heard; conversations with a doctor or attorney must be private; peaceful rest hastens healing; music should blossom. My designs support these spaces so that they reach their fullest aural potential through enhancement of the human experience. Being a musician and having knowledge of human perception of sound further informs my process.I have consulted on over 300 architectural projects throughout the US and Canada, from single rooms to high-rise buildings with over one million square feet of space. My credentials include being a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Michigan and a Board Certified Member of the Institute of Noise Control Engineering (INCE). I have been published in the conference proceedings of INCE, the American Journal of Nursing and have presented at the Acoustical Society of America, at local ASHRAE and AES meetings and for a Planetree webinar. I like helping others learn about acoustics and have taught at Lawrence Technological University as an Adjunct Professor and invited lecturer.
