• Able to communicate the services of the hotel to gain commitment from the customer. Handle key accounts for the hotel, thus carrying a quota in the department.• Duties also include contract review and facilitating communication before, during and post event with pertinent hotel staff to ensure a high level of service.• Primary sales efforts are in Banquet Food, Beverage and Meeting Room Rental and may include menu planning, agenda setting, hotel meeting services, hospitality amenities, and special VIP requests. • Host site inspections, maintain strong customer relationships participate and may lead event meetings, and other staff meetings, and work as a team member with the sales and catering staff. Also work closely with other support staff.• Manage 6,200 square feet of flexible function / Banquet facility, Convention Setups, Restaurant, Bar and Room Service. Manage a staff of 22 or more.• Manage and operate F&B purchasing (Liquor, Linen, glassware and all items needed to operate outlets, banquets and Setup departments). Handle beverage cost controls.• Constantly revising menus and coming up with more exciting ideas to promote the hotel and increase revenue is part of my many responsibilities in promoting and generating more business. Assist in food cost control.• Manage and operate the Banquet and Setup departments. Our banquets consist of many corporate and social events.• Help and assist kitchen with purchase of items utilized in outlets.• Manage outside catering. • Implement all new service standards in all outlets and throughout hotel.
