As the first US hire for Shapr, I was tapped by CEO Ludovic Huraux to help bring the networking app to North American markets. I led brand positioning and development, driving member acquisition, engagement and app retention and made major contributions including:PR: Landed feature stories in Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, BBC, and Wired. Delivered additional coverage in Inc, Fast Company, The Guardian, Bustle, GQ France, Glamour, Huffington Post, Yahoo Finance and more, including earned editorial in three countries (US, France, UK). Media appearances include a 9-minute interview on The Cheddar Live and a 2-minute segment on Fox News.Offline Advertising: Led Shapr's January 2017 NYC subway campaign from ideation to delivery including writing all ad copy and recruiting a designer. Final campaign appeared in 584 car interiors as a brand takeover.Digital Strategy: Negotiated and managed North America media deals including sponsored content with Entrepreneur, Gothamist, Elite Daily, SF Gate, The EveryGirl, and DNAinfo. Authored Entrepreneur article, which generated 16.7K social shares.Events: Built the membership-based Connectors Club community of executives and entrepreneurs from the ground up. I was the chief architect on all marketing, product and member growth efforts including recruiting first 100 paid members and hosting twice monthly best-in-class events with top speakers at unique locations such as cocktails with Entrepreneur’s Editor-in-Chief in a private West Village loft. Hosted 35+ events in two cities.

When I joined FluentBrooklyn as the third full-time employee, we were a small Brooklyn-based startup with no backers. During my time with the company, I led a complete rebrand including a name change to Fluent City and grew the business to serve 23,000 customers across 6 national markets. I used aggressive community-building strategies to grow our newsletter to 75,000 subscribers, and produced over 100 live special events, securing partnerships such as General Assembly, Brooklyn Kitchen, WeWork, Moleskine, and The Yard. From 2013-2015, I also stepped up as the Interim Director of Operations, reshaping core business practices to make the company more sustainable and attractive to buyers. I was part of a team of two that pitched investors including the founder of General Assembly, who stepped in as one of Fluent City’s three main shareholders.

Relativity School was the first educational arts program ever greenlit by a major motion picture studio. I established the school’s content strategy, developing faculty profiles and buzzworthy editorials to drive applications for the first generation of certificate seeking students.

As the head of social for a school with a presence in nine countries, I authored and edited a daily newsletter to 400,000+ subscribers and created compelling daily content for global reach across all social channels. I also launched an online alumni portfolio still used daily to drive enrollments.During this time, I also used put my producing skills to use, teaching five undergraduate courses and coordinating schedules for over 1,000 masters level producing students.

My focus was on the 15th annual Essentially Ellington jazz band festival and competition, including coordinating the college fair and soliciting donations for 400 gift bags. I worked directly with Artistic Director Wynton Marsalis on a one night showcase of the top 16 high school bands in the country.

My role was focused on hiring all interns for the 2010 season. I evaluated over 120 submissions and conducted all first round interviews for potential hires. In addition, I developed materials for Roundabout teaching artists including working on Broadway's 2009 Bye Bye Birdie revival.

During three summers with Standing Ovations, I directed nine full-scale musicals for teens, supervised a staff of 10, and taught workshops for students ages 6-18 that emphasized audition technique, teamwork, character development, and public speaking skills.
