My first contact with the world of addiction, mental health and recovery was through my own recovery in 1990. Then working as a tv commercials and pop promos producer, my transition into the addiction industry came though apprenticeship, working on the floor with a number of well-established addiction specialists in London and then working my way up the ladder.In 2008 and with many years of recovery behind me, I co-founded Charter Harley Street becoming the sole owner in 2011. In 2009 I began a Masters degree in Addiction Psychology and Counselling which I completed in 2013.In addition to my day-to-day clinical practice, I do a great deal of motivational public speaking on the ins and outs of addiction and robust self esteem using knowledge and anecdotes borne of personal experience. I am a regular contributor to the media and I am passionate about dispelling the myths surrounding addiction and mental health.
