I’m passionate about helping people and businesses live sustainable lives. As a freelance writer for The Cool Down, I communicate complex topics in an accessible way and empower others to take action. As the Co-Chair of the Sierra Club Atlantic Chapter’s Environmental Education Committee, I launched a multimedia environmental activism book club for high school students to discuss and learn about climate issues. I’m also spearheading the transition of the NYC Group Newsletter to a digital format to engage more members. With over 8 years of experience as a journalist, editor, and communications professional, I have delved into various subjects, including entertainment, lifestyle, tech, sustainability, STEM education, and fashion. I have a proven ability to create content strategies that resonate with diverse audiences and drive significant growth in all of these spaces. As the communications manager for the New York Academy of Sciences STEM Education Program, I identified a missed opportunity in reaching the student members. I proposed and launched an Instagram account. I led the account to 1000% growth in one year and grew a vibrant community for the students. My digital experience extends to podcasts. As Senior Producer for the New York Women in Communications WomenHeard podcast, I develop episode themes (including timely interviewing women in communications working in politics and climate change) and write interview questions. I excel in writing, editing, managing writers, editorial calendars, analytics, and research.Driven by a deep commitment to sustainability and a passion for storytelling, I'm seeking to collaborate with sustainable brands and publications to create impactful content that informs, engages, and inspires.
