Oversee all HR operations for a non-unionized facility of approximately 175 employees. Galion LLC is a leading provider of contract precision machining for defense, automotive and related industrial markets. My department’s responsibilities include recruiting & onboarding, employee development, compensation & benefits, safety, and employment relations. Accomplishments:• Grew the workforce by 47% by recruiting and hiring for several long-standing open positions. • Decreased turnover by 17% during my first year, by creating a positive working environment, employee engagement and a strong open-door policy. • Launched new safety program to promote awareness and involvement, and to ensure legal compliance in safety training programs such as Hazcom and LOTO. • Developed an employee handbook consistent with current practices to ensure all employees were treated fairly and consistently.
