Mandy Ying is the Senior Professional at the New Development Bank (NDB)’s Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) Division, with a particular focus on corporate governance safeguarding for NDB’s sustainable infrastructure investments in emerging markets. Previously, Mandy was the Executive Director of Corporate Engagement at Goldman Sachs, where she is responsible for running the firm’s philanthropic initiatives in China, particularly 10,000 Women China, as well as managing the global partnership with IFC on the Women Economic Opportunities Facility (WEOF) for over 55 emerging markets. Prior to this role, Mandy headed the Programme Team of China and Asia at the World Economic Forum, where she led content design of China and Asia-related programmes at “Winter Davos” at Switzerland and “Summer Davos” in China, as well as regional events in Southeast Asia. Mandy earned a graduate MPA (Master of Public Administration) degree in the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) at Columbia University and a bachelor degree of law in the major of Political Science and Public Administration at Sun Yat-sen University in 2011 in her hometown Guangzhou, China. Mandy’s career goal is to bring a positive impact in the field of sustainable development, healthcare, education and gender empowerment.
