Vice President, Capability & Business Development
I currently lead strategic capability development and business development initiatives in support of the Firm's Cybersecurity & Risk Management and Public Safety & Emergency Management Portfolios.
Principal
I oversaw the Firm's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) National Risk Management Center (NRMC) Account consisting of 7 diverse contracts and 50+ staff. I was responsible for all aspects of account planning and repeatedly exceeded annual revenue and profit targets. I led capture and proposal efforts often resulting in recompete and new contract awards and I played a major role in the Firm's growth (over 160%) in the last 5 years. I also continued to serve as the Data Management and Analytics Practice Lead which grew to 10+ specialized staff providing analytics support across all accounts.
Senior Manager
I served as the Program Manager for multiple task orders within the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Emergency Communications Division (ECD). In this role, I built high-performing teams and led the development of innovative strategic and technical solutions that resulted in new business opportunities for the Firm. I also established and serve as the Data Management and Analytics Practice Lead for the Firm, offering a variety of data visualization, data engineering, data governance, and data science capabilities and services across our market portfolios.
Lead Associate
I served as the Program Manager for a $15M task order in support of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Disaster Emergency Communications Division (DECD) and was directly responsible for leading a cross-functional team (~15 staff) and all aspects of contract management including financials, staffing, performance, schedules, risk, and client/stakeholder and vendor relationships. I also managed business development and capture efforts (e.g., tactical selling, capture strategy, teaming, staffing, end-to-end proposal development including technical, price, and past performance volumes) for DHS and DoD engagements. Additionally, I served as a Career Manager to junior staff by offering mentorship, conducting performance evaluations, and supporting professional development.
Associate
I served as the technical engineering lead for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Disaster Emergency Communications Division (DECD). In this role, I led market research and analysis efforts to assess the maturity of over 150 emergency communications technologies, and developed a Technology Roadmap that served as the Division's core strategic plan for future technology investments. I also served as a subject matter expert leading Tactical Communications (TACCOM) architecture efforts for Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Operational Components. I defined a tailored methodology to identify strategic improvement opportunities and developed a prioritized transition plan, which was adopted by the DHS Deputy Chief Architect as a guide for other architecture efforts across DHS.
Senior Consultant
I served as the Configuration Management (CM) Lead for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Global Electromagnetic Spectrum Information System (GEMSIS) Program Management Office (PMO) by defining tailored CM processes, analyzing potential CM tools, and developing and implementing the organization's CM Plan.Prior to the DISA GEMSIS role, I served as the Wireless Engineering Lead for the U.S. Army Materiel Command (AMC) Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In this role, I led various technical initiatives including thin client computing, wireless infrastructure, enterprise data warehousing, and business intelligence. I developed enterprise wireless infrastructure guidance documentation and provided technical advisory services for the implementation of wireless networks at AMC depots and arsenals in accordance with DoD and Army Information Assurance policies.Prior to the AMC CTO role, I provided technical engineering support for the design and development of the National Guard Bureau's (NGB) next generation deployable communications solution for all 56 U.S. states and territories by leading data gathering and requirements analysis efforts, analyzing emerging communications technologies and conducting capability gap analyses, designing state-of-the-art tactical communications systems, developing acquisition package materials, and supporting operations and maintenance (O&M) activities.
Consultant
I provided technical consulting services to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Department of Defense (DoD) government clients by researching and evaluating emerging wireless technologies (e.g., WiFi, WiMAX, wireless mesh networking) and recommending optimal implementation approaches to support future wireless communications deployments in the event of wireline network failures.
