As CEO of LifeTaq I'm focusing on solving the most critical challenges of cell cultivation. Our goal is to increase standardization, reproducibility and effectivness of 3D cell cultures by using an automated as well as digitalized approach to all processes behind the creation of tissue-like cell structures. Since I worked in the preclinical field in the past, I experience the various problems most companies run into during preclinical development of their products. It is a well known fact that more than 90% of all clinical trials fail. The majority could have been avoided by thorough preclinical testing and better understanding of the exact efficacy in vivo. Thus, I decided to build a company exactly targeting this crucial step during drug development by simulating the human body in a medium to high throughput scale for automated drug testing in order to get essential information about the potential effect of drugs in the human or animal body without the need of introducing the substance to the body.
