Helped the Burmese and Zomi communities with interpreting. This is a non-organization and I was paid Zero. I volunteered to help the community. These experiences helped me gain confidence in my interpreting career. I had my job and school on the other hand. I volunteered to help only in my available time.

Interpret in Burmese and Tedim Zomi. Worked a lot with caseworkers, internships, and nurses. Interpret to make an appointment, call landlords, vehicle insurance claims, call electric companies, etc. Most of the time it is an on-site interpreter.

Triage the Burmese and Zomi patients. Make notes to the doctor about their concern and complain that they had. Place referral orders and sometimes helped to make an appointment for them. Interpret in Zomi (Tedim) and Burmese. Most of the time work with a pediatrician and for once in a while work with OB/GYN.
