Professor Man Gi Kim is a Professor of KAIST-GPP (Global Procurement Program) and DEDP(Defense Export Development Program) at KAIST. He is also a Senior Advisor at Yulchon LLC, specializing in Global Public Procurement. As an expert in Global Public Procurement, he studied and researched various topics and projects for the EU, UN, US, MDBs, and multiple countries. Dr. Kim studied at King’s College London and Macquarie University in Sydney, as well as at Georgetown University and Dankuk University, and earned his MA in International Marketing and PhD. Economics. Dr. Kim worked as an executive in various businesses. As such, he has extensive experience in global management and acquisition & contract management in Australia, the U.S., the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. Dr. Kim is recognized as a leading expert in Defense Procurement, Overseas Public Procurement, and International Competitive Bids due mainly to his experience in these fields. Dr. Kim lived abroad for decades and has received many official accolades, such as the Gold Leadership Award from the Korean-American Coalition, the Golden Peace Medal from the Federation of the Mongolian Government, the National Leadership Award from the National Republican Congressional Committee, and the Commendation from the Prime Minister of Korea. Dr. Kim advises the Ministry of Defense of Korea, the Public Procurement Service of Korea, the Korea Health Industry Development Institute, and other Korean government agencies.
