Support the production and maintenance of financial forecasts and highlighting associated risks. Identify opportunities for waste reduction and the effective and efficient management of resources. Financial assessment of business cases for service change. Help to ensure the appropriate financial governance and grip and control mechanisms exist through the business unit.

Perform technical financial analysis in respect of financial, staffing and non-financial information. Provide a review of the accuracy of monthly accounting information as recorded in the general ledger, highlighting issues with colleagues to be addressed and corrected. Produce summary information to explain trends, variances and risks; which in turn assists with the production of board reports and statutory returns. Develop and implement new and innovative processes and reports to aid with the presentation of the financial accounts. Act as a financial advisor to both finance and non-finance colleagues, by providing specialist accounting knowledge and advice on specific initiatives or developments.
