Fascinated by the critical function of tumorigenesis, my interest has become the discovery of prospective therapeutics against colon carcinogenesis. During my Ph.D. research, I investigated the molecular role of taxifolin in the prevention of colon cancer. Simultaneously, I had the chance to construct and simulate toxicity screening of drugs/compounds using zebrafish larvae—one of the popular alternative rodent models. Following my Ph.D. and several successful postdoctoral research accomplishments, I continued to work on microbial sepsis models with the support of (i) Investigating the anti-inflammatory effects of short-meric antimicrobial peptides in LPS-induced macrophages cells with particular emphasis on LPS-TLR4/MD-2 signaling and (ii) evaluating the antisepsis of potent peptides using LPS and/ or gram-negative bacteria-challenged model of septicemia in mice.
