With an experience of 30+ years, Mani is a combination of practising as well as a corporate lawyer. Having the advantage of gaining experience from his practising years, he seamlessly implements the same now in his role of being a successful Corporate Lawyer in a leadership role.He started his Corporate career with an advertising company and instantly gained recognition while taking advantage of mandatory provisions in the erstwhile advertising bye-laws thereby protecting the business. Mani further got the opportunity of interacting with the policymakers who were framing policies & guidelines for the outdoor advertising when the industry got hit by the infamous Wazirabad bus tragedy judgement. Having served with LG Electronics for major part of his career, Mani created a unique recognition and respect for the Legal Department. His out-of-box thinking due to his interest in technology made a good rapport with R&D teams resulting in filing and successfully obtaining Designs and Patents applications. His easy and friendly approach amongst his peers got him full support to defend complicated cases. Inspite of being a new to the Healthcare industry, Mani instantly got visibility in Fortis when he streamlined the litigation and suggested SoPs for smooth functioning.In Relaxo Footwears, he was successful in providing a robust back-up of Agreements when he introduced Contract Management Process.With the joining at Varun Beverages, Mani has been able to bring stability and confidence. While with Varun Beverages Ltd., Mani was recognised by Legal500.com amongst the Top 100 In-House Counsels of India in GC Powerlist India 2018.Currently with DS Group, Mani has effortlessly brought together the Litigation, Food, IPR and Contracts verticals by synchronizing it with the Organisation's vision to have a robust Legal framework.
