As a Cloud Network Engineer my focus is the design, architecture and deployment of the Global Cloud Network and security infrastructure required for all enterprise applications to run in the Cloud. Upon the completion of the AWS Architecture deployment my responsibility has shifted to the AWS deployment automation and the migration of Sun Life enterprise applications to the Cloud.

Researching emerging technologies and recommend opportunities for improving system integrity and cost effectiveness.Act as a bridge between software and network groups, ensuring communication lines remain open and the network is primed to support new applications. Provide end-to-end system testing facility to test technologies.Provide feedback to software development to ensure applications are developed to take full advantage of the network's capabilitiesUnderstand the capabilities and standards of the network infrastructure, and facilitate the design and testing required to augment those capabilities.Provide knowledge transfers to other data network members on applications the network will support, and ensure clean handoffs to Eng / Ops teams for deployment.Work closely with network architects, application developers, and systems engineers to diagnose interaction issues between the network and applicationPerform detailed analysis of application flows and their network impact, and leverage tools (e.g., OPNET,Niksun) to identify and diagnose application performance issues

Responsible for the design, implementation and support of the network infrastructure, connectivity and security solutions used by the BlackBerry service cloud and its developments teams.Responsible for ensuring that consistent network solutions are delivered while managing customer satisfaction and continually driving process and technical improvement across the organization.Interface with internal and external organizations to the department, as well as external partners, to deliver innovation solutions and resolve complex technical problems.
