• Carrying out electrical and mechanical preventative maintenance on:- Generators- Curtains and cables- Scale heads, bin scale controllers and load cells- Networking and optic-fibre- Fans and pump stations- Motor starters, variable speed drives(VSD) and soft-starters (feed computers)• Installing Delicate Logic Controllers (DLC) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) to control ventilation in pig housing• Commissioning of new equipment and pig housing (ventilation and feed computers)• Testing and installing load cells under scale and feeder tanks• Providing employees with training on new equipment• Installing GSM commander systems• Automating pivot systems• Developing and installing remote pump systems• Developing and designing brackets, waters station and panels for new projects• Ensuring electrical compliance to SANS 0142 and the Occupational Health and Safety Act• Performing the role of Chairperson for the Health and Safety Committee• Designing, wiring and installing electrical systems for any new build farms or houses, including:- Alarm systems in pig housing- Telemetry systems on pump stations- GSM commander systems (alarm systems)- Wireless remote pump systems- PLC to control ventilation in pig housing• Responding to call-outs for breakdowns and faults on all electrical and mechanical equipment• Managing and ordering all electrical equipment in the electrical store required for the smooth operation of the commercial piggery• Managing of measuring instruments, sensors and test instruments

• Installing and integrating of Slope Stability Radar systems• Commissioning and decommissioning of Slope Stability Radar systems• Providing customer and site personnel with a basic understanding on the use and performance of the Slope Stability Radar• Monitoring and presenting Slope Stability Radar data• Providing on-site technical support to customers • Liaising with customers• Providing maintenance and breakdown repair services to the Slope Stability Radar systems • Reporting and presenting on the data obtained from the Slope Stability Radar systems • Reporting faults and interventions in system operation • Compiling weekly and monthly reports
