About Manikanta Uppala
With a passion for data and a background in computer science, I pursued a Master's in Business Analytics from The University of Texas at Dallas, where I learned how to apply machine learning algorithms, big data analytics, and data visualization techniques to solve complex business problems. I graduated in 2021 with a Dean's Excellence Scholarship and multiple publications and certifications in data science.Since October 2021, I have been working as a Solutions Engineer at ThoughtSpot, a leader in the Business Intelligence industry with search and AI-driven analytics. In this role, I drive the technical evaluation stage of the sales cycle, acting as the product expert and performing technical discovery, pitching, and proof of concepts for prospective customers. I was the Commercial SE of the year for FY 23' FY 24’ and was also inducted into the President's Club. I leverage ThoughtSpot & Mode BI softwares to develop intuitive and robust dashboards and reports for various clients and industries. Previously, I worked as a Senior Sales Engineer and Data Analyst at Toucan Toco, a data storytelling platform, contributing to several significant projects and driving net new logo acquisition.My core tech competencies include Python, R, SQL, PySpark, Thoughtspot, Tableau, Power BI, Toucan Toco, MySQL, Snowflake, AWS Glue. I am an effective communicator, an analytical thinker, an adaptive learner, and an active collaborator. I am always eager to learn new skills and technologies and to explore new challenges and opportunities in the data domain. I also enjoy collecting currency and stamps from different countries and playing badminton, table tennis, and cricket.
