Manik Suri is an entrepreneur, investor and policy expert scaling technologies to combat climate change. Manik is Founder and CEO of GlacierGrid, a high-growth technology startup reducing the warming caused by cooling — refrigeration & air conditioning — which are vital to human wellbeing yet drive nearly 10% of emissions. GlacierGrid's patented cooling intelligence platform is deployed across thousands of locations with leading brands including McDonald's, 7-Eleven, Delta Airlines, and Marriott Hotels.Previously, Manik co-founded GovLab, a leading innovation center at NYU that develops technology to improve government. Manik is a former Affiliate at Harvard’s Berkman Center for Internet & Society and Visiting Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania. Earlier, he held positions at global investment firm D. E. Shaw & Company and the White House National Economic Council.Manik is an accomplished speaker across the global stages of Web Summit, Collision, COP, Google, Harvard, and Stanford. He holds numerous patents, and is a member of YPO and Truman Security Project, as well as a Forbes contributor, where he writes on technology, climate change and public policy. Manik holds an A.B. in Government summa cum laude from Harvard College, an M.Phil in International Relations (Highest Honors) from Cambridge University, where he studied as Harvard University’s annual Paul Williams Scholar, and a J.D. from Harvard Law School. He has been honored as one of the Top 100 Harvard Alumni in Technology.
