MANINI THULOI enjoy engaging in political discussions and involving myself in the activities of my trade union work, thus placing myself in influential positions that help me effectively advocate for gender equality, especially in the world of work. I believe that all people are created equal and therefore deserve to live that way without anyone impeding on their rights. After completing Matric, I enrolled for a Media and Journalism course, which I could not complete. I have learnt that my personal development will come with the adoption of a culture of learning. In 2017, I will begin a new journey when enroll at a University to pursue a Degree in Law. Serving as a shop steward has enlightened me of the value and importance of understanding Labour Law in the work place to assure fair labour practices. My work experiences started at Lovelife where I worked as a coordinator for youth issues. Since 2012, I have been working at Ukweza Holdings as a waitress and supervisor. I have good communication skills and excellent events organisation skills. My aspiration is to establish and run an entertainment company that will focus on grooming young people in theatre and the arts. I would also like to be a motivational speaker, inspiring young people to rise above their situations and excel in everything they do. I work well under pressure and always meet my deadlines.
