English As Foreign Language And Life Skills Trainer (Efllst)Cnrs | Center For Natural Resource Studies Mar 2024 - PresentCox’S Bazar, Chattogram, BangladeshArea of Expertise: Since 2022, the organization has implemented a vocational skill development program for Rohingya Refugees in Cox's Bazar and Bhasan Char. The program, known as the UN Joint Program for Skills Development (JPSD) or Improving Skills and Economic Opportunities in Cox's Bazar(ISEC), aims to provide vocational training and improve economic prospects for the beneficiaries. Moreover, The Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot (EMPP) program was launched during the last quarter of 2023 to enhance labor mobility and empowerment for Rohingya refugee graduates who complete the Level-1 certification courses according to the UNHCR. The EFLLST is the key person who is responsible for planning and contributing towards Competency Standard (CS) and Competency-Based Learning Materials (CBLM) development and delivery for the targeted beneficiaries at the camp level. The EFLLST will develop, oversee, and coordinate the course in the refugee camps where UNHCR establishes designated training centers.Duties/ Responsibilities:i. Creating and implementing a well-organized training program that encompassesEnglish language proficiency, cultural orientation, and essential life skills. ii. Performing a comprehensive needs assessment to determine the precise languagerequirements and life skills needs of the participants.iii. Designing tailored training materials and resources to effectively facilitate thedelivery of the program.iv. Supervising effective implementation of all course and curriculum-related activitiesfor selected refugee learners ensuring compliance with all performance standards,policies, and objectives, and performing regular academic and administration testsand assessments for the same.v. Providing training to learners on essential language skills required to effectivelycommunicate and function within an English-speaking community.
