Whilst undertaking ENT and Head & Neck Surgical training in London, I have taken time out to pursue an Artificial Intelligence PhD at Imperial College London. This is focused on primarily thyroid cancer imaging, but is expanding to other related areas within ENT. In 2023, I was received on to the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme and more recently have been successfully appointed as a national NHS HEE Topol Digital Fellow.As President of AOT (Association of Otolaryngologists in Training) from 2019 - 2021, and during COVID, I founded and chaired "AOT ENT Education" a free digital health education platform that now serves over 5000 international subscribers and won a national award from ENT UK. I serve as an AI & Digital Literacy Mentor for the Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) Innovation Skills Course and was a founding member and AI co-lead for the RCS commission – “Future of Surgery : Technology Enhanced Surgical Training”.
