I am an ex Colonel from the Indian Army who has served the nation for 23 years. During my service of 23 years, I have held various key portfolios with the last one as a Chief Maintainability Engineer wherein I carried out trials of certain key equipment being introduced by various Indain and International players such as M/s L&T, M/s Ashok Leyland etc. and finalsied the engineering support matrix for sustaining the equipment during the life cycle of the equipment. This work also entailed suggesting and making policy decisions at the highest level.I have also been a General Manger Works which is akin to being a Plant Head of an Army Factory and was responsible for the refurbishment of Tatra Vehicles which entailed complete production Planning, Manufacturing Management, Process plannoing, Procurement of spare parts and machines, infrastructure development, handling of manpower including Labour Unions. I was overall responsible for the P&L of the Factory at the end of the financial year and was solely responsible to meet the desired targets during every quarter since the equipment which came for refurbishment was critical in nature and could only be retained for a stipulated time period.I have also been the procurement and policy Officer for Defence equipment at the highest level who was responsible for carrying out procurement of latest as well as deficient Defence equipment on behalf of GOI. This work entailed preparation of RPF, carrying out of negotiations with the vendors including international vendors, finalising of contract and post contract management. I have been instrumental in bringing about certain key policy changes to facilitate smooth functioning at grass root level. I have also spearhead various Green field & Brown Field projects worth more than INR 2000 Crores at the highest level.
