As a qualified Engineer with an MBA in Finance and overall 11 years of hands-on teaching experience in India and New Zealand, my aim is to combine my ability and range of experience with passion and dedication in order to make a positive contribution to the learning community. I completed the GradDipTchLn (Secondary) degree from the University of Canterbury, NZ, and gained a teacher registration in New Zealand. Till May 2022, I was working as a Mathematics teacher with Verdon College, NZ in a Full-time, Permanent position but I had to travel to India because of my father’s health problems. I am once again looking for an opportunity with a school where I can continue to follow my passion for student-centered, inquiry-based maths and sciences education.Throughout my career, I have had the delightful opportunity to teach a diverse group of students in India as well as in New Zealand. As a result, I have developed highly effective teaching practices and instructional methods which have allowed me to teach all styles of learners and foster a fun, engaging, and positive learning environment. Additionally, I have had headship experience as a proprietor of my own coaching academy in India, where I was responsible for all tasks like administration, recruitment of teachers, developing syllabus notes, formulating test papers, and teaching to a variety of students, and such day-to-day operations. One of my greatest strengths as a teacher is meeting students’ exclusive needs by preparing individualized learning programs. I ensure all my students are able to grasp learning concepts and enhance their Mathematical skills by providing learning through hands-on authentic and fun activities. I utilize these strategies to introduce new concepts, establish a connection between the classroom and everyday life, and foster an engaging learning atmosphere. I listen to my students and sit with them separately to specify and work on their weak areas. I strongly believe in cultivating and nourishing strong working relationships with stakeholders of the school community.
