With over 20 years of experience, Manisha learned how to successfully start and manager her own online platform. Her technological background provides her with skill and finesse to deal with daily operations and back-end growth. Manisha’s exposure to the food industry comes from her early years. Her family owns a well-reputed Indian restaurant in Pittsburgh, PA. She has also helped family own and manage two food franchises in Boston, MA. Looking for ways to solve for how restrictive the food industry can be, Manisha always wanted to contribute to the community. CurrentI have over 20 years of experience as a product developer and engineering manager, specializing in information security, technology risk management, infrastructure, product and operations, and management. My technological background provides me with skills and finesse to deal with daily operations and back-end growth. My family has also owned a restaurant for 20+ years & I have owned and operated multiple food franchises in the past 15 years. I wanted to use my technology background with my passion for food & community. Hence, I founded this platform with one need that I saw evident - to promote small-scale microenterprises. My team and I have designed a software platform that will help connect independent and artisan chefs with their local community. The platform connects these chefs, many from under-represented communities and diverse cultures with consumers seeking local, indigenous, and wholesome meals that are almost impossible to find at restaurants.From owning and operating restaurants and owning a cottage food business to collaborating with local chefs or working with cooks, my entire team is filled with professionals from the food and restaurant industry.
