Training and Placement Committee compairsing of faculty and students working to ensure smooth execution of Final Placement and Summer Internships for the students of NIT Jamshedpur, worked as a Student Coordinator in the Team. Some Highlights and Insights:1. Elected as Student Coordinator (1/14) from a batch of 600+ and across seven branches.2. Managed a entirely different and challanging placement session compared to previous years, as it was completely virtual and online due to COVID'19 pandamic3. Got 91.6% overall & record 75% Civil branch placed with 60+ first time recruiters with team and 30+ first time recruiters on my own(incl. Flipkart, Merilytic Inc, Quantiphi, O9 Solutions, Ganit, Axis Bank, Bridge i2i, ProcDNA etc) during COVID time with very significant increase in mean compensation from 8.68 to 9.34LPA.4. Managed more than 150 firms, steered recruitment for both internship and placements of 1000+ final and pre final year students.5. As a team, we had initiated 6-months internship policy for the first time in the course curriculum. At that time NIT Jamshedpur was one of the three NITs who were implemented this policy.6. Stand-in as SPOC for various firm by independently inviting and communicating on email & phone and managed the strategized the complete recruitment drive. etc

During the summer of 2019, I had the opportunity to work under the guidance of Prof. Avijit Maji, at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) on Transportation Department. Project Title:Preliminary Analysis of speed, lateral & longitudinal acceleration, the position of driver's data.Some Insights and details of Internship:1. It started with acquiring the knowledge from previous studies in related field.2. Learned basic statistic and R-Programing.3.Trained with some data collection and extraction tools such as Vboox tools and MS Excel.4.Learned detailed process of research study, including data collection, data analysis, model selection etc.5. Worked with data collection team, and did extraction of field data and converted the raw field data into analysis format.6. Worked with data analysis team, and carried out different activities such as data filtration, forecasting and data smoothening.Please find the attached Internship report for more details:)
