Product manager for the Nutanix Cluster cloud service running on AWS and Azure. Nutanix cluster is a hybrid cloud-native service integration for modernizing on-prem applications without need of refactoring. It is the software service to provision Nutanix Hyper converged infrastructure stack in AWS and Azure with true hybrid capabilities offered to customers. It offers a cloud-native service integration for modernizing on-prem applications without need of refactoring.Key launches during this time:- Launched the new hybrid and multi cloud workload management solutions (Nutanix Clusters) for AWS (Commercial and Gov Cloud)- Landed and expanded the growth of product in new geographies- Lead for the Nutanix Cluster SaaS billing integration with Azure marketplace; redefined the billing infrastructure to remove inefficiencies of legacy systems and portability of licenses to cloud based consumption

Highlights of my work:- Applied churn analysis and product innovations to build the acquisition, cross-sell and up-sell opportunities for the Azure database for MySQL and Azure Database for PostgreSQL on Azure. Ran A/B test for pricing, configurations, and user experience etc. to see what has the greatest impact on customers retention and customer satisfaction. - Lead the Storage, Networking, High Availability and Security of the Azure Database for MySQL and Azure Database for PostgreSQL managed platform service. This was pivotal for the JEDI (US DOD Gov contract) security and compliance requirement by the Azure database platform team- Reduced Azure managed database COGS by $12M and improved the product gross margin by 52% by identifying inefficient usage of virtual machines, older hardware being used to run the service, and planning and executing new product innovations such as idle server, pause/resume.- Designed a new ML based customers engagement tool to improve customer experience post product adoption. This recommendation engine looked at customer product usage patterns to predict how customers could improve their product performance while optimizing the cost. Collaborated with partner teams in Azure to improve the GTM for this product

Worked as a software developer in the Replication development team for the MySQL database. As an integral member of the team in India, I worked on various roles towards the development of MySQL Group Replication. http://mysqlhighavailability.com/tag/mysql-group-replication/I worked on multiple cross-functional teams for the design, development and review of new products in MySQL while improving the existing ones through bug fixing for major clients such as Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn etc. The major focus was on building dependable, high availability replication solutions for cloud and big-data processing. I was closely involved in the development process, as I worked in globally distributed team and led the development efforts in India thereby successfully taking the products through various stages of the product life cycle. Working on an array of products helped me become familiar with the agile and scrum-based methodologies of product development.In addition, I performed several engineering functions such as problem identification, and the corresponding analysis and resolution for various modules based on the business priorities and requirements; It also involved understanding market and the competing product strategy and deciding what is best suited for the customer needs. For example development of GTID support in MySQL, Semi-Sync replication and Group Replication after gathering and documenting business requirements, designing architecture and taking it to product release. I was also involved in recruitment of talents from universities and industry thus helping the team to grow in India.
