IEEE Young Professionals Sri Lanka formed on October 2011 is an integral part of IEEE Sri Lanka Section, and has a history of eight years. IEEE Young Professionals is the group of IEEE members and volunteers who have graduated from their first professional degree within the past 15 years. It is an international community, whose members are interested in elevating their professional image, expanding their global network, connecting with peers locally and giving back to their community.

As initiated in 2018, the IEEE Innovation Nation Sri Lanka, A Sri Lankan initiative of a Global platform marks its 5th consecutive year in 2022. The project is under the IEEE Sri Lanka Section to create a platform encouraging young tech enthusiasts. This is a great exposure for them to experience the global market as it provides them with proper training, mentoring, and financial support. Also, it will take their innovative ideas to the next level with the support of modern technologies.
