Target segment included small and mid-size enterprises (with annual turnover up to INR 200 crore), domestic individuals • Provided FX coverage to Citi Private Bank, Credit Cards and NRI Division• Regularly engaged with product partners on development and updating of programs concerning forex offering• Closely worked with the coverage and sourcing team responsible for the acquisition of new forex customers• Actively involved in organizing front end training and customer-oriented events

My Key Performance Area was to own and drive the Commercial Banking Business for the region – Bengaluru, Karnataka. My objective and prime responsibility was to ensure sustained growth in the current account balances as well as increase the Forex and Trade volumes and revenues. This had to be driven through a team of Relationship Managers (RMs) and Business Developers (BDs) by helping them acquire and deepen commercial banking relationships.The detailed responsibilities include:• Deliver Forex revenues, Trade revenues and Current account Balance Sheet goals as per plan.• Drive Business lending, Trade, FX and derivative product sales (Forwards/options). Increasing the penetration on Assets across Cash Flow based and Collateral based lending programs• Mentor the team of Relationship Managers (RMs) on the commercial banking front with an overall responsibility for revenue delivery. Train the team on Product Sales across Forex, Trade, Cash Management and Loans.• Lead the team of BDs to identify the customer segments, meet the prospects and close deals. Timely train the team to enhance their product knowledge and inculcate a sense of ownership.• Engage with the customer to ensure that the relationship is nurtured & deepened and further improve the profitability per account. Drive the sales of various products basis clients business and ensure value addition to their business in terms of transaction efficiency and increase in profitability. • Advising clients with respect to various business banking transactions viz., FDI/ODI/FCTRS• Work closely with Product team and the Treasury to influence the product launches/enhancements.• Ensure strict adherence to the KYC/AML and other compliance norms.• Continuously monitor and improve service standards by ensuring a well-run trade desk.• Focus on new Commercial bank products like Payment gateway, E-collect and CMS to augment CA float and revenue.

• Being part of the Interbank forex desk, responsibility included checking the funds available in all currency nostros and doing daily reconciliation to identify settlement breaks, investigate the same, liaising with the Risk treasury, the nostro correspondent and counterparties. This meant ensuring no payment breaks as well as any regulatory breaches. • Monitoring daily cash flows, settlement of FX transactions (Cash/Tom/Spot/Forwards and Swaps) and adherence to Net Debit Cap set by local clearing house (CCIL). • Forex treasury operations related activities including verification and settlement of interbank deals as per their maturity. Responsibility includes ensuring that all operational and regulatory procedures are followed including deal confirmations and deal settlements. • Collaboration with the internal technology team both locally and globally to work on system enhancements and migrations to improve processing time and user friendliness. Also ensuring their prompt implementation as per the business and regulatory requirements and within the stipulated timelines. • Circulating LIBOR, FX spot rates and forward premia points across departments and upload on product processors. • Liaising with all the internal groups viz., the product control group, the front desk, the compliance team, etc and external stakeholders viz., RBI, the local clearing body CCIL, the FEDAI, etc and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and policy requirements. • Preparation of various Risk and Liquidity related reports – Analysis of the Maturities profile (Cash flow) for the bank on a daily and monthly basis as per central bank requirement and for internal communication to senior management to help them take strategic decisions.
