The duties included interface with the fabricators, to ensure suitability and compatibility of the design, engineering and construction with the offshore installation contractor’s nominated derrick / pipelay barges and support vessels. Coordinate the installation schedule with Newfield’s drilling, operations and hook up departments to ensure maximum efficiency for all parties. Assist the contracts department with all technical, contractual and commercial issues. Review and approval of construction methods and procedures, physical inspection and approval of all vessels proposed for the work. Conduct regular interface meetings with the fabricators and line pipe coating yards relating to timely load out and sail-a-way of all structures and line pipes. Site supervision of all offshore installation works until completion and issuance of the completion certificates. Thereafter review and closeout of commercial invoices and approve the final ‘as built” documentation prepared by the offshore installation contractors.Key Achievements :All the pipelines and platforms were installed on schedule allowing drilling to commence on time.
