Global Tree Enterprises Inc is my pet project.Started as a Sustainable "Green" Technology Business (September 2004) that morphed into software development, business marketing, entertainment and environmental.Global-tree divisions (past/present):Plotware (Environmental Mapping - Software Development) [Plotware used to be called EnviroSoft back in 2002, re-branded in 2009]Current projects (in development): ----> vis-e-plot, Computational Environmental Data Modeling application. To be released open source under GPL v3. The original program was written in Visual Basic with an MS Access backend. The current version uses "R" under a DCOM object and it is enhanced with statistical abilities.. This program is designed to visualize data on a 3D plot scale. It is similar to Rock Works (by Rockware) and Modflow (USGS), however differs from other software by inclusion of PRG/RSL/CHHSL/J&E visualization tools. The program was developed in part to visualize co-mingled VOC plumes. The program is still hap-hazard, i need to work on the UI. ----> Project Name : Blackout. Designed for a business environment, similar in concept to EcoButton, however does not require a custom USB glowing button work. Has reporting abilities to show how much energy saved. This software requires more beta testing.----> Other Projects: Portabuddy (Development 2007-2009, released 2011). Was attached to Home Theater division, but sold products and services all over the store. Could be regularly found in core areas of computers, home theater, digital imaging and appliances. Occasionally dealt with returns and geek squad products due to my prior IT experience. Was offered advanced position to stay with the company when I tried to leave, would have taken the offer except life has its own interesting twists and turns and I had to move to So.Cal.
