Manley is an accomplished and sought after keynote speaker. In 2023 Manley was accepted into the Forbes Business Council, the foremost growth and networking organisation for successful business owners and leaders worldwide. He was vetted and selected by a review committee based on the depth and diversity of his experience. Criteria for acceptance include a track record of successfully impacting business growth metrics, as well as personal and professional achievements and honours. Previously a Senior Advisor at McKinsey & Company, he is a Fellow of The Royal Geographical Society and The Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce. In 2014 Manley published his acclaimed book Compassionate Leadership (Hachette UK), the second edition was published in 2022 reflecting the changes of the global pandemic. The Compassionate Leadership Academy (CLA) launched in 2015, providing deliberately affordable, Institute of Leadership accredited, online leadership and personal development courses. The CLA Digital online course is CPD certified and an extended version of the course meets the level 5 Operations & Departmental Manager Apprenticeship standards.CLA recently completed a successful pilot study Compassion for Healthcare Workers at University Hospitals Sussex. The pilot included the creation of The Compassion Index© which measures the positive impact of the learning and informs & guides the delivery of our programmes.In 2023 Manley became a proud Patron of You OK Doc? a charity supporting doctors and healthcare workers mental health & wellbeing, just one of the many charities he supports.
