Responsible for developing and introducing V-belt drive (idea taken from SNCF France) for railway coaches which replaced expensive hypoid gear for air-conditioned coaches and troublesome flat-belt drive for ordinary coaches. The V-belt drive is now used on several thousand coaches of Indian Railways. Also member of the team responsible for developing alternators and electronic regulators for rail cars repalcing dc dynamos.
